Pakistan Fashion Design Council Takes The World Of Fashion Storm Once Again

At Opus Communications we fully support our fashion industry which is still growing and progressing. When one thinks of the fashion industry then instantly one name pops up. Yes it is none other than PFDC which is one of the most prominent contributors to Pakistan fashion industry. PFDC is a hub and a platform for all designers to showcase their talent and gain recognition. The seventh PFDC Fashion week officially started yesterday and will end on 13th April. Like any other fashion week the aim PFDC  fashion week is it to allow fashion designers, brands or “houses” to display their latest collections in runway shows and buyers and the media to take a look at the latest trend.

The seventh PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week officially commenced today, marking the fifth consistent year of the prêt a porter platform. In keeping with the objective of furthering fashion retail and synergizing high end design, textile manufacturers and buyers, fashion week includes ramp shows by leading retail labels, high-street fashion brands as well as textile houses along with a fully functional, state of the art exhibition area.

Everybody from Designers, to Models, Magazine Publishers, Bloggers and Journalists have high energy levels and expectations as the event approaches. The PFDC team this year includes Maheen Kardar Ali as the front stage manager, producer and choreographer HSY Events, backstage management by Product 021, Sara Shahid of Sublime as the official spokesperson, logistics and operations by Eleventh Retail and photography by Faisal Farooqui and the team at Dragonfly. Moreover Hum TV/Style360 is the official media partner, and CityFM89 is the official radio partner for PFDC. As for the designers, this year on day one the list included Mohsin Ali for Libas, Nicki Nina and Sana Maskatiya.

Opus would like to appreciate the great effort made by the entire team. Apart from this PFDC is a great platform for emerging talent to present their work and gain recognition. This year through the Bank Alfalah rising talent show on day one, many undiscovered designers brought forward their work. This is one of the many reasons why Opus supports PFDC, for bringing forth not just the renowned names but also boosting the youth of Pakistan.
